Tomoe Dozoaru Finished Group One of three images I worked on this week for =nahamut's special day ^^ I started to experiment and improve my colouring style, and is the third and final I worked on of the three photos I took of my drawings of everyone [yeah since scanner is not working]. I finished this guy the quickest, oddly enough. And I wasn't rushing either. But I finished him through a whole day with lots of breaks and distractions lol;; Somehow I managed the anatomy okay on the big wolf arms [yeah the arms are meant to be larger etc. than human ones] but it still needs work, it's better than my usual thank gawd. The anatomy on the paw is still a cross between human and dog XD And I shaded the fur with waaay more effort than normal [if you compare to Tomoe]...it was strange and new to do. His fur colour makes me think his fur past his hips [didn't draw legs LOL] look like...bird feathers orz He was the first I DOODLED, in my lunch break at college with a fineliner. I was happy the primary kids who looked at it liked it and knew it was manga and not say 'oh it's pokemon/yu-gi-oh/dragonball z XD Unlike the people in highschool u< But I'm not in highschool no more lol I forgot a detail on his shoulder which I will add sometime hopefully >< The background I was having to put on this, is a bit shitty. OTL sorry about that XD But at least there's not some badass bg or something to detract from the character >w<''' Like this and the other separate submissions, this was how it looked before it was put into photoshop. I think long hair's an arse, such long strands to draw. Short hair's no problem, and my lines don't do wobbly and stuff. Though I personally have trouble drawing my characters with the hair all in different directions [particularly my old characters when I revamp them] this has kinda helped a bit and doesn't look too bad. Pfff, you like all the serious! LOL Your gallery is...very srs. XDDDDD Hehe, gotta have some lols in your life, I have such random/strange/funny characters for comic relief as you know...yeagh man yeaghhh~ *squishu*
Hmm, I don't really know O_o though Nemedo was the easer to cg and the quickest done of the three, somehow. But yeah omfg I hate drawing markings most of the time XD Which is why hardly any of my characters have markings of that sort of intricacy LOL
Yeah, the colours in the bg were the colours I had in my bg when I was base colouring, so it had to be different in some way so I could see the character's colours. And then I just put some textures over it to break it up and saturate the bg colour more, I always make the background a little muted.

The idea of feathers didnt come to my mind even after seeing your opnion on description. That looks like fur to me ^ ^ Because it got a spiked look. I love so much how you shaded/lighted his fur here * - * And of course, his hair! The way you make the inside of ears fluffy looks really nice too, by the way♥
Even though he doesnt have a serious personality, I prefer to see him with that expression. But I think he also got a worried look here, maybe the eyes. You cged so well the eye ♥♥ and the body! sexy anatomy > w <
The colors of the bg come out so well together with Nemedo's. Those brushes you used there reminds me of soemthing royal, love them!n _ n
Dont worry, I always forget some of his markings too..they are a pain to do. Sometimes I wished I didnt design that many for him. U _ U''
