Arcenxhi [Arr-sen-zee]. The Elder Arcenciel dragon. =w=
You know I don't put up many dragons...but I doodled this last week in college and thought I'd give it a good scan and colour. Since I don't have many original species submitted to this account o3o;;

Arcenciels die when they reach 700 in their dragon years. He's old and dying D: so that's why he's a bit dull and muted compared to any of you who saw my first drawing on MMF. His mane feathers are going grey too. They go completely grey when they are dead. Hunters try to find these dragons and pluck them to sell...but it's seldom done since they appear for short periods here and there and they're not usually caught off guard sleeping. Hence, people pay highly for someone to get a feather from their mane. They just go grey when that dragon eventually dies >: Old age or slaughter.
His mane makes me want to eat After Eights. =w= It brightens in the sunshine, but he's in a murky place.
Lol at my attempt at water splashes : D

I like him because the species have got no limbs \o\ and have up to five pairs of wings instead.

Sorry for the srs texture whore on this. I got stuck on where to begin and started adding them from the start. There's three in it >< one coloured the background for me :3 It reminds me of tutti frutti. D: I want some jelly beans now ._.

This is the best dragon picture you have ever done, hands down. :heart:

I really like the colours.. I never thought he was dying, but now that I look closely I can see the ends of the feathers losing their colours. The body is very skinny~ But not scrawny at all, I like how you did that. :heart: And the mane looks so soft.. I see teal and black, must..have. The background is pretty interesting as well, reminds me of a painting of some sort.. scenery, something like that. :heart: It's pretty anyhow. Awesome textures. I also love the face shape of this character, it's just right~ No limbs? You lazy sonofa-

The colours on his wings are vibrant but not in your face.. it's soft and I like it like that. :heart: I love how we can see part of his long body in the background, he's a very..very long dragon. And this has such lovely details to it, so a fav from me~

Thanks, yeah the colours are a bit faded..the wings and markings were really bold against the body and so I dulled those down so they didn't look too hard on the eyes. :/ But yeah, he be dying..he's still got a good few years to go yet maybe. But...you never know how long those years might be, since it isn't human years =w=;;
Tis...I seem to draw skinny bodies for dragons D:'' Says a little something about the artist I guess, I'm skinny, they all skinny. XD!Lol...he has straight rat tails either side and then his mane's just...well. How I draw it normally. XD All over the place. Ah, his mane is teal against dark brown..it was a lot darker before.
Yeah, I wanted some kind of jungle-type place, but by some water...I seemed to be shading water when I last touched it..;; And screw you, Arcenciels are the only creatures I got lacking legs =w=
And yeah as I said, tried to make the colours obvious but not too out there, which was what it was until I dumbed the vibrance down when working on it. Mm, I wanted to do something like that with the lines like that for something more distant. XD; He is a long dragon though .o.
